Casa Maria

Excellent place to stay, to explore the whole Algarve region in a few days.

Pros: Prime location, close to the train station and the marina. Lots of bars, restaurants, minimarkets around the area. The apartment looks nice, we found it clean and decently spacious. It is in a quiet, residential building, and all people leaving there are smiley and polite. The bathroom has a powerful shower, and we appreciated the tiny balcony right outside the master bedroom, with a view over the city. The kitchen has plenty of tools that you can use to cook any meal you like, at home. The host is very detail-oriented, and we appreciated all the interactions we had with her, before and during our stay. We definitely felt like being home, away from home.

Cons: Previous guests should have cleaned better after themselves, before leaving. This is not the owner's fault, but we found most plates and pans/pots still greasy from previous use. We washed them all in 10 minutes, once we found out.

perfect for a stay in Faro excellant position and great value

Pros: this a full apartment with two bedrooms and bathroom and full kitchen with all you need for cooking and a fridge we travelled with two friends and this place was perfect and Maria was easily contacted to gain access.its a short walk to the harbour and the old town of Faro.everything we needed was supplied. The apartment was located on the third floor and there is no lift so a lot of steps but this is ok if your fit . theres no parking but spaces can be found on the streets nearby

Would recommend this property to friends and look forward to returning again one day.

Pros: Great location, facilities as advertised. Comfortable beds. Contact with the host was easy along with checkin.

Pros: Very well situated, in proximity to the railway station and very close to the old town. Well equipped apartment with all amenities. Felt safe, even if the neighbourhood doesn't look modern or fancy. Locals are very nice, most times I came home after midnight and everything was absolutely fine.

Cons: For us it wasn't a big deal, but it's located on the 3rd floor with no elevator, if you have large suitcases it might be a bit difficult to carry them upstairs. Walls are a bit thin and you could hear the neighbours, although silence hours were respected. Something that was a bit annoying was some noise coming from a closet in the bedroom: I believe in there it's stored something related to the (hot?) water supply (not the heating unit, that one it's stored in a separate space and it was silent) and it makes a ticking noise, if you are light on your sleep, it might wake you up.

Casa Maria- a very good spot to stay

Pros: Casa Maria is a very nice flat located very close to city center. It is equipped with all necessary equipment (cooking stove, oven, microwave, toaster), caterware, pans for cooking. It had all equipment that I might have needed, like hair dryer, washing machine, vacuum cleaner (useful to clean the floor after beach), ironing board and iron. The location is very close to a train station (1 minute walk), you can barely see the train station from the door of the building. It felt the neighborhood was calm and safe . Very near the flat there were few spots to eat, like little local cafeterias, pizza spot, etc. A very good contact with the host. The host was answering our questions regularly. A very good flat to stay for a family with children.

Pros: The host was friendly and informative and also well organised!

Cons: There wasn’t enough bin liners provided. There should’ve been some more laundry tablets available especially for a stay that is longer than two days. Also there should be some basic seasonings probided such as salt and pepper and enough tea for the amount of days and people.

Pros: The host is kind, helpful with our extra request (booking transport to the airport) and the communication was smooth. The location of the apartment was excellent, close to inner city and the railway station.

Cons: The appartment could benefit from a general sanitary painting (there are some spots of mold in the rooms and in the bathroom). We would have appreciated a couple extra garbage bags , toilet papers and some basic ingredients normally found in appartments with kitchens (salt, oil).

Pros: The flat is in a fantastic position, close to the train station. Maria, the host, is lovely. The flat has everything you may need during your stay.

Cons: Everything was fine.
