Sea View Fairy Tale

Very relaxing time in beautiful Faro.

Pros: The location was great, we loved lying in bed in the morning looking at the ocean, the boats and the birds. We liked the size of the property which was very large for the 2 of us. It was easy to warm the property which was good as the evenings and nights were a little chilly. We liked the lift which was very convenient for the 4th floor. Some days the weather was nice enough to sit on the balcony in the sun. Very near the train station as we travelled to Lisbon after Faro. Spar was very near for groceries. We liked Bella the housekeeper very much and it was lovely to meet her. We were given an extension to check-out time and left at 12:

Cons: Ivan had given us the wrong code for the key box and I had to phone him. Unable to use the oven as no temperature was mentioned.

Spacious apartment with fantastic views

Pros: Great location close to the train and bus stations so easy to access via public transport. Less than a 5 minute walk to the marina and central pedestrianised area. The apartment is very spacious and being on the 4th floor has fantastic views over the Ria Formosa natural park and towards the islands. Also good for plane spotting! The lady who was cleaning when we arrived was a star – when our gas bottle ran out, she came over and changed it for us. There is a Spar supermarket nearby (opposite the bus station) and some good cafes and restaurants as well. We particularly enjoyed Ha Patria, Botequim de Baixa, Osteria Mavala, La Forchetta and Tasca do Ricky. There is a pin board in the apartment with cards for various restaurants, taxis and contact details. We did a River and Island trip with Islands4You which was very good.

Definitely worth staying at this apartment .

Pros: Good location, close by train and bus station for travel to other parts of the Algarve. Informative host. He was very helpful and picked us up from the airport and arranged for a transfer back to the airport at the end of the holiday. Beautiful view from the balcony. There is a very good housekeeper called Felisbela who was also very helpful.

Cons: The second bedroom is open plan so if you are intending to go with another couple, you will need to put up a privacy screen. It is fine for a family with young children.

Great place for a short stay in Faro

Pros: The host was quick to respond to our questions and made the reservation and checkin process very easy. The appartment was exactly the fairy tale I had imagined and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the boats and birds on the estuary both at high and low tide, with the bright blue sea glittering beyond the bank bank on the horizon. it was a five minute walk to the marina / old town and a fifteen minute taxi ride to the beach (we were told we could take a boat to the beach but did not find the right kiosks to buy tickets in time - apparently right round the marina and a little further). A bonus was finding out that the appartment is right by the train station, which made our departure easy the next day.

Cons: I don't know if this is mentioned in the description anywhere but I am always alarmed by old lifts that do not have an inner door - I would just warn families with small children to be cautious. Other than that, perfect holiday location.

Best scenery

Pros: Right in front of the water/marsh land less than 200 meters from train/bus station,mini markets,Mercado municipal with fish markets and supermarket near by.very comfortable place and we enjoyed the scenery mostly.

Nice and cosy apartment to stay in Faro. Close to everything

Pros: Location is great, close to railway and bus station in the seaside of Faro Apartment had really good equiments and there was coffee plus sugars in the kichen. Also washing machine with soaps.

Just what we needed- easy to organise and great location for a short stay in Faro

Pros: Very central location- very near train station and marina Easy transfer and Felisbela very helpful

Cozy Comfortable Stay

Pros: Great location bang in the centre of town. Clean, cozy and well maintained apartment. We had access to free parking right outside the apartment. Great eateries just around the corner.

Cons: Would have been great if there was a bedside table and mirror in the master.

Pros: Appartement spacieux , agréable avec une belle vue .
