Villa dos Salgados - Beachfront

Excellent Family Villa

Pros: The photo's of the Villa do not do it justice and was perfect for our 3 generation family. We particularly liked cleanliness and the 3 level swimming pool which meant our toddlers were all able to touch the bottom, could easily see the line where it became deeper and had a wonderful time playing in it. The pool had a security fence which made us all feel very comfortable as the children were not able to access the pool without adult supervision. Communication was quick and responsive. We were grateful to the hosts for honouring our requests for 2 high chairs and travel cots plus a bed guard. We loved the location and were able to walk to the beach daily plus the supermarket.

Cons: The beds were too hard for our liking and would benefit from mattress toppers.

Gorgeous villa

Pros: Absolutely fabulous villa with everything you could need. Pool was so safe for our toddlers as it has different levels. Being able to fence off the pool when not in use was also brilliant. There were also pool and beach toys there which were handy so no need to buy any there. The Italian restaurant Bellavita on the street was really good. Restaurants down by the beach were a bit hit and miss. Would definitely recommend this villa to anyone!

Cons: Locality a bit quiet and not many options for meals out but that was fine for us.

luxury with home family feeling at the beach (end of street)

Pros: The photos of this place dont do it justice. This is one of the best (family friendly) properties in Algrave. Super luxury but home feeling, fence around pool, playground - we hardly left the location. its the type of place that famous people would book for an exclusive and luxury get away - with the prices that come with it.

Cons: First world problems. With 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, hallways, 3 living areas, kitchen all having electric blinds and lights, it take forever to close up or find a simple button to turn on light. i.e. in main bedroom downstairs theres 8 switches in the room - which is super annoying if you need to find just one for the light at 2 am with storms belting the metalic blinds.

The perfect family holiday destination

Pros: Honestly, everything was perfect. The villa had everything we could have possibly needed and more, for all ages in our group (0-70!). We had a few babies and small kids and the house was so well equipped. Bed sheets were changed weekly and the pool and gardens were also maintained while we were there over the course of 3 weeks. The owners clearly take pride in their property. There is a gorgeous beach and boardwalk just a short walk away with lots of lovely seafront restaurants. Albufeira is a short taxi ride away too, only €15, if you're looking for more nightlife. Deborah assured me that the villa was perfect for the whole family and it exceeded our expectations completely. Dona Manuela was so friendly and helpful while we were there. Thank you so much for making our family trip so special. We hope to be back again soon!

Cons: There is a lovely supermarket behind the Vila Gale Hotel, but it's a little on the pricey side. There's a smaller supermarket and bakery in the other direction that's much more reasonably priced for all of the essentials!

Excelente casa y ubicación!

Pros: Todo excelente, casa hermosa y cómoda, muy nuevo todo. Ubicación inmejorable, frente a una playa hermosa con todos los servicios.

Cons: Todo muy bien, por poner una pega se podrían mejorar las almohadas y algunos colchones. Pero todo en general estupendo!

Pros: Casa muito espaçosa, confortável e bem equipada. A piscina e o parque infantil espectaculares para quem tem crianças. A localização muito boa, perto da praia, restaurantes e supermercados.

Cons: A máquina de lavar loiça avariou logo à nossa chegada e apesar dos esforços não se conseguiu resolver durante a nossa estadia.
