Villa Maresia Dourada

Pros: Property was in an ideal location with the beach a short walk and restaurants near by. The hosts were the best I have dealt with. They were so accommodating and responded to any query’s in minutes.

Pros: Villa was very spacious with 2 dining areas and 4 good sized bedrooms. Kitchen was slightly small for a big family but there were lots of crockery and utensils and a dishwasher. The pool was a great size with plenty of loungers and pool towels were also provided. There are a couple of supermarkets nearby within walking distance. The bathrooms were beautiful with hot showers and plenty of towels for the week. Beds were comfy and the area is generally quiet and peaceful with the beach only a 5 minute walk. Very good free WiFi. The host was very responsive and helpful.

Cons: It would be useful on a self-catering holiday to have essentials like a kithen cleaner, bin bags, salt and pepper, cleaning cloths. Bring your own as none is provided and the supermarket nearby is very expensive. The pool table has seen better days and some of the balls are missing but the children enjoyed it nonetheless. There is no table tennis as depicted in the photos.

Pros: The location was superb for beach & restaurants. Villa was very spacious & had everything we needed. Bathrooms have clearly been refurbished to a really good standard - hairdryer in every bathroom - unheard of! Beds were comfortable so we slept well. Highly recommend & would stay again!

Great Villa to holiday with family.

Pros: Great location loads of room for the six of us. Very secure with locked gate at front and back. We could leave the property by a door off the pool onto the beach road or leave through front door into Ubers which were easy to get to go into Albuferia. Has everything you need for a Villa holiday with loads of dishes cutlery etc and dishwasher a great bonus. Very comfy beds and good showers.

Cons: On a main road which was busy at times

Wonderful holidays!

Pros: Amazing location, amenities and the space of the property. The maintenance of the pool was incredible with the maintenance team checking on it every other day. We were also lucky to be able to attend the full moon party!

Cons: The pool table and the table football are in need of modernisation.

Great break would stay there again.

Pros: Good facilities and plenty of room for 7 adults. Lovely pool, bbq and areas for socialising. Also great location near a lovely beach with great restaurants.

Cons: Lack of cleaning materials like dish cloths, washing up liquid, toilet rolls etc. A little bit of maintenance is required on the building but nothing major and did not detract from a great holiday.

Pros: Location was superb close to the beach and restaurants. Outside space at the villa was lovely and the pool was excellent. The villa was well furnished and comfortable.

Cons: The villa could do with painting throughout to freshen up the inside.

Pros: Lovely house. The beach is at the end of the street which you can see from the house. Has a few restaurants nearby and a supermarket. Spacious house. Has a pool table. Pool can be heated. Private. Very comfortable beds and lovely rainfall showers. Decent kitchen. Buses, although infrequent go either towards albufeira or towards the algarve shopping mall.

Cons: We arrived late in the evening, a welcome pack with perhaps tea/coffee/snack & some information about the local area would have been appreciated. Also we were there in ‘winter’ , a couple of umbrellas by the door could be useful on the rainy days. We had a bit of confusion over pool heating which got resolved, heating the pool was definitely worth it. Pool ladder needs to be fixed/removed, is unsecure. If the keys could be labelled it would help not having to try them each time before you get the right one. Tv instructions would also be helpful. Most of these are minor issues that are easily fixed and would make the stay exceptional.

A week with friends

Pros: Great location and communication excellent. Near bars, restaurants and supermarket and short walk to the beach. Local bus on doorstep. Nice poolside and loungers. Comfortable beds and plenty of kitchen equipment for self catering.

Cons: Tiles missing in pool, needs a little TLC.. traffic noise but we're from a country location so maybe not an issue for some. Lack of essential items eg bin liners, washing up liquid and every day essentials.

Pros: everything you need is there, iron, hair dryers, coffee machines, washing machine, dishwasher and lots of dishes cutlery and cooking utensils. nice layout to the villa and a bathroom for every bedroom, outside area is very nice with the plants and birds.

Cons: decking is coming up in places and could do with replacing. Bathroom/ wet room flooded very quickly, drains might need unclogging.
