Dunas Douradas Beach Club

Excellent - rarely go to somewhere twice, but would definitely want to visit again

Pros: Sublime so close to the beach - and big apartments that felt like a home away from home. The food and staff were excellent - really world class service and quality of care. Made the stay memorable for all the right reasons!

Cons: Wish there was some basics like salt and pepper - as no one wants to buy these for a few days. Also would have loved coffee pods refilling - as again - didn’t want to buy a whole pack just for a 2 night stay… but these are small things that would have made a simple difference, but did not detract from the exceptional space and staff

Pros: Luxury accommodation, spotlessly clean, with manicured lawns, trees and flower beds. Our apartment was huge, with a big living room, extensive terrace and two additional balconies, four bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The apartments are cleaned and towels changed every day. Convenient mini market on site. Indoor pool was great for the kids, warm water and clean, the attendant always nearby. The adults enjoyed the gym, which was also spotless and well ventilated. Just a short walk to the beautiful sandy beaches. Unfortunately the waves were too high to swim in November, but the walk along the beach towards the nearby nature reserve was lovely.

Cons: I have absolutely no complaints. We did not eat at the local restaurant because the prices seemed a bit high, but that is not surprising for a resort of this type.

Pros: Fantastic location and facilities, very clean and well presented. Ticks every box when you want a relaxing, quiet week in the sun close to great restaurants and the beach. Stayed here five times in various villas and its been fantastic every time

Cons: The clubhouse bar and restaurant could be more inviting otherwise there is not much to criticize

Pros: The resort is very well run, excellent bar pool service & good food & drinks reasonably priced. Accommodation is excellent, clean & everything taken care off. The resort is on the beach, great accessibility through garden gate. Food in restaurant on site is excellent. Shop on resort has basic essentials priced very reasonably.

Cons: You can get accommodation that is a good distance from the central pool & restaurant area. It’s fine for people who can walk it. If it’s difficult the valet service can be arranged which is good. I like the accommodation either a 2 bed or 3 bed near the central area. Sea view or part sea view are my favourites

Very enjoyable

Pros: Fantastic location, we enjoyed the pools and the beach and were able to walk to restaurants as well as the VDL Tennis Club.

Cons: Our apartment was a bit of a long walk to the pools, gym, restaurant and main building. A buggy system would be very helpful.

Pros: Everything. Great location, by the beach with excellent restaurants nearby and on site. Beautiful resort and attractive, comfortable and well fitted out apartment.

Great stay as usual

Pros: This is the best family resort in Europe for a reason. It’s brilliant. Nothing is to much hassle and Maria’s nearby is excellent

Pros: Location great : staff v helpful Disappointed apt only had shades balcony … was not major issue for our short stafff but any longer would have been . Would like it clearer on booking what outdoor facilities are with an apartment as they appear to vary quite a lot
