Fantastic Villa

Pros: We loved the villa, and especially the outside area where there are several seating areas, pool and barbecue. Trees provide some shade if needed. Well worth paying extra for the pool to be heated. Our 3 grandchildren spent hours on end playing happily while we adults watched on enjoying the sunshine (and sometimes joined them in there). We also enjoyed playing pool and table tennis in the basement. Location is great, very quiet when we were there (mid May), 5 minute walk from the marina where there are plenty bars and restaurants and a 15 minute uphill walk to the old town. Plenty tuk tuks available if you need transport. Small supermarket and a few other shops also a 5 min walk away.

Cons: Our only small criticism would be the cooking facilities weren't fantastic but really a very minor thing.

Pros: This villa is excellent. We stayed as a family of 9 with 3 couples, 1 teenager and 2 children. The villa was spotless and had everything we needed (although we didn’t cook so can’t comment on utensils) but the kitchen looked stocked up. We did use the BBQ a couple of times which we loved. The games room was a total hit with our family and the window looking into the bottom of the swimming pool in the games room was a lovely surprise! The location of this villa is very good a 5 minute walk to the marina and 20 minute walk to the old town. We had a great time and if we were to go back to Albufeira we would definitely stay at Marina Sol again and highly recommend!

Beautiful villa in an excellent location

Pros: Really lovely villa in an excellent location. We were in a big family group of mixed ages and there was plenty to do within easy walking distance for all the family. We paid extra for the pool to be heated as was a bit chilly when we arrived. Loved the outdoor space and the pool table downstairs. Bernardo was very attentive and helpful,

Cons: The villa needs a bit of TLC as starting to show signs of wear and tear but didn't spoil our enjoyment of the villa

Great location ideal for the marina and old town

Pros: Great location. Near to the marina where there were plenty of places to eat and drink. Walking distance to the beaches and old town. Large bedrooms and number of bathrooms although only 2 en-suite and not 3 as the Q & A say. Good sized pool, nice outside area for dining or sitting in the shade. Bernardo was very helpful and came round to introduce himself and also brought us some spare pillows when we asked for them.

Cons: Only 7 sun beds when the property sleeps 10. Be aware you need to buy every provision you need as there is absolutely nothing left in the kitchen for you, meaning we had to buy toilet roll, bin liners, salt, pepper etc. It would be nice to have a welcome pack and the basics provided for you. Also only 1 key for the villa so you have to use the key box all the time. If you intend to bbq you will also need to buy charcoal and matches.

Great family holiday

Pros: Gorgeous villa and plenty roomy for our extended family of 6 adults and 4 children ranging from age 70 to 2. Great location, 5 minutes walk to Marina with restaurants, shops and entertainment for kids. 15 minute walk to old town or can easily get the little road train, Uber or tuk-tuk. We paid to have the pool heated which was great for the little ones. The lemon tree in the garden was a nice surprise, the lemons are delicious!

Cons: The pool is deep so children can only play around the step area without floats.

Pros: Very large villa easily fitted the 8 occupants could of taken more , great location ,all the necessary day to day items requited fir comfort provided. Games room was also an added bonus for the younger travellers

Cons: The key situation of 1 between the whole house is a pain , some elements of ghe property starting to feel its age, still outstanding but needs a bit of tlc in places simple oiling of locks new window pains in living room tiles in ensuite .

Stay was perfect and I could not rate the Villa enough it had everything we needed.

Pros: Location was perfect close to the beach, Marina and Oldtown but yet not too close that you were right in the middle of everything.

Cons: The neighbors had a parrot that kept making noise all evening when it was left in the house on its own

Fabulous holiday rental

Pros: The property is perfect size for 9 people. Really spacious and well kitted out. The location is fantastic, walking distance to marina, beach and old town

Sad to leave!

Pros: Large villa with wonderful outdoor space- lovely pool, great BBQ area. Spacious and comfortable bedrooms. Quiet area which was minutes walk from marina area with plenty bars & restaurants.

Cons: There was nothing to dislike. I would’ve liked operating instructions for cooker, air con, outdoor lights etc. No air con remote in 1 bedroom- similar one from another room worked but unfortunately we didn’t realise this until after we’d chosen bedrooms.

The villa was lovely and we would definitely stay again. It was a family holiday and the villa made it one of our best.

Pros: We liked the size of the property it was very spacious. It also felt very secure. The barbecue area was great we used it twice and had a lovely meal.

Cons: There were issues with ants inside the property we bought repellent spray but it didn’t really work. The only other issue was there was no air conditioning in the living room we did find a fan on our second last day but a couple of bigger standing fans would be better.
