Nice holiday in great house with pool!

Pros: Beautiful and spacious house with everything you need, including pool towels, washing machine and dish washer. The outdoor area was really nice too. Easy to get in contact with owner. Cleaning in the middle of the stay.

Cons: The pool was quite cold (end of September/beginning of October).

Pros: location rural. villa spacious clean and very good standard. very good manager who responded very quickly to any difficulties.

Cons: nothing. as with some other guest just felt a small welcome pack would be added touch. but as only 5 mins by Uber to shops not a problem.

Beautiful villa

Pros: The location of the villa is perfect far enough away for everything for much needed peace and quiet but still close enough to access facilities easily. The Villa had everything you could possibly need and always someone on hand if you had any issues. We are looking to book again and can’t wait to revisit!

Beautiful villa, quiet location but close enough to main town

Pros: We loved it here. The villa is exactly as shown in the photos. It was spotlessly clean. Quiet location. Has everything you need. It was the same price as a double hotel room in the old town so you get so much more for your money, there was only two of us so we had a 3 bedroom villa with private pool, games room etc to ourselves. An Uber into the old town was about 6 Euros one way so despite being in the middle of nowhere (which is a plus point) you can easily, quickly and cheaply get to the old town Albufeira or marina etc (an Uber literally arrives in a couple of minutes). We hired a car for the week which I would recommend (very cheap in Portugal) for shopping trips/excursions etc. as there is nothing within walking distance. We stayed for a week and a cleaner came mid way through (the owner let us know beforehand which was good)

Cons: Previous reviews have said there were ants on the kitchen worktops....they are still there. It didnt bother us much because we didnt use the kitchen for cooking, but if you did I imagine it wouldnt be good. I know you get more insects and bugs etc. in hotter climates than the UK but I wouldve thought it would be fairly easy to get rid of the ants? The owner asked me what time we would be checking out so that they could arrange the cleaners coming in which is fair enough. I chose 10:30am which is the latest time for checkout, but despite telling him we would checkout at 10:30am he replied saying the cleaners would arrive at 10am! And they did arrive at 10am. When youre getting showered, dressed, packing etc to leave, the last thing you want is cleaners there.

Great stay at a fantastic villa

Pros: Villa was spacious, clean and well equipped. Loved the pool and outside space. Liked the location, not overlooked, but only short drive to reach town and beaches. Also added bonus of having table tennis and pool table.

Cons: An information pack on the house and area would have been appreciated. A separate bin or similar for recycling would have been useful. But overall enjoyed a very comfortable and positive stay.

Pros: I loved the place it was absolutely stunning the only Let down was ants in the kitchen and having to constantly kill them 😫 other than that great villa mattresses could do with upgrading as they were very uncomfortable

Exquisite!

Pros: Absolutely everything! In particular, we appreciated the privacy and tranquility of the natural environment. South facing aspect. All beautifully maintained.

Cons: Only a minor detail in the grand scheme of things, but having managed holiday properties myself, I'd suggest adding an information book about the villa and its surrounding area eg nearest supermarket, doctors etc. Also, a 'welcome tray' with a few basic, thoughtful provisions would add an extra personal touch.

Pros: Beautiful villa - clean, very spacious and had everything you need. Lovely quite are.

Pros: What a beautiful villa! The garden was filled with lovely flowers, and the pool was perfect (even though it was a bit cold in October). The house was perfectly clean both inside and out, and there was a cleaning service halfway through our stay. The beds were super comfortable, and there were two new looking camping beds for our toddler and baby which was great. The two bathrooms were perfect for our family of 6. Nice peaceful location, very quiet. Towels (also kitchen and pool towels) and bed linnen were all supplied and very clean. Thank you for a lovely vacation!

Cons: If we would have to name something it would be that we weren't really able to go for hikes close to the house, but a short drive solves that problem.

Pros: 2nd time staying at Villa Monte Velho. Lovely clean, comfortable villa, just as we remembered from our last visit. We will hopefully return!
