Great mini-break
Pros: Spacious, comfortable, clean indoor areas and beautiful outdoor spaces planted with colourful flowers, palms, cacti, pine trees, . Wonderful views across the sea and along the bay from our room balcony and other parts of the hotel. Lots of friendly courteous staff. Excellent fresh and varied breakfast choices. Huge outdoor pool with plenty of sunbeds. Easy access to amazing beach directly in front of hotel. Superb value for our 2 night stay. Walked along the beach to Old Town. Only a short stay but there were activities and excursions on offer if you were there for longer.
Cons: Personally, the Strip nearby was not for us but we had a very relaxing and happy stay without it.

The staff were very welcoming, for a 3 star hotel it was very good value for money.
Pros: The staff were incredibily helpful and excellent at their jobs. Location was great, views from our room were unexpected ... we had a sea view and it looked like all the rooms had something similar. We didn't go in the pools as it was too cold in February, but they looked lovely. It was nice that you could take a trek down to the beach (would be good if a proper path could be put down to at least one part of the beach, for those not so nimble on their feet).
Cons: The hotel is built on a clifftop, not too high from the beach, but to get to the restaurant and pools you had to go down the stairs. It's an older hotel (still lovely) but no facilities such as an esculator or lift to get to the above. But I think it would be a logistical nightmare to try and put that in place. But for the able bodied people it was okay.

Pros: The hotel location is stunning, excellent location, access to the beach. All the staff were exceptional, friendly, happy and always helpful. Drinks options were very good. A lot of the hotel has been upgraded, and the rooms that were upgraded were lovely, but the older ones are tired but very clean and comfortable. Entertainments programme good variety and staff made a reall effort in making sure you had a good time. Food was good, had no complaints, what you expect from a 3 star hotel.

Always good to stay here
Pros: I have stayed before at Auramar and as usual everything was exceptionally good. The buffets at lunch and dinner were very good and included typical portuguese dishes like salada de ovas and colchão de noiva, the overall quality of the food was very good and varied. We went to minigolf, archery, beach walks, the cocktail bars and the pool. I will return!

Pros: Great view from our room to the beach and the overall location and scenery was very beautiful. Pool water was nice and warm so could still enjoy a swim in unpleasant weather.
Cons: The rooms are a tad outdated which is understandable but the place would benefit from a refurbish. The elevator closest to our room didn’t work and as a pregnant lady this was very frustrating but not a big issue. The indoor pool area was very underwhelming, medium sized pool, no lifeguard around and the pool area could do with a clean and some new decor. Bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly as I found a hairs that didn’t belong to me or my partner which stayed there even after house keeping came in.

Pros: The view from my room was great. Delightful Animation staff with great activities & entertainment. The grounds are awesome with easy access to the beach. Great staff everywhere.

Pros: Friendly helpfull staff, beautiful room with a great view, 1 minute walk from the beach, good breakfast, it was veeery enjoyable! Much better than I expected, will come back for sure!!!! :)

Pros: Amazing location ! Just in the back of the hotel tou have a great beach and rocks to walk around. My hotel room had everything what was needed and very clean. Food and drinks , a lot of different choices for little price:) You can walk from the hotel to Albufeira town by beach , about 20 min what was great too.
Cons: Some food was tasteless but like I said a lot of choices so for sure everyone can find something.
