Solar do Bisavô

Pros: We had a very lovely stay in this small hotel. The french hosts were very kind and helpful. The building itself got renovated and furnished with a great taste! As well as the breakfast which was mostly homemade with fresh and healthy products, but it was still plenty. We loved our stay here and we can really recommend it!

Dreamy stay in the heart of Algarve

Pros: Pascale and Igor have created a little paradise in the middle of Algarve. Every detail in their beautiful estate has been thought through. But what makes the difference is their unmatched hospitality. They are the perfect guests. Oh, and the breakfast… probably one of the best I’ve ever had while in holiday. We will be back. 10 out of 10!

Cons: There’s nothing not to like here. Perfect 10.

L’art de vivre, nestled in Santa Bárbara

Pros: We stayed three nights at Solar do Bisavô and it truly exceeded our expectations. Everything radiated quality, from the beautifully finished room to the breakfast, the peaceful garden and the high standard of the bed and bath linen. You could feel that Pascale and Igor have poured their hearts into this place. Their pride and dedication to their life’s work is visible in every detail. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. A calm and soothing atmosphere settled the moment we arrived. Every morning, Pascale surprised us with a different homemade breakfast. From Breton crêpes with lemon to panna cotta with fresh fruit, each dish was both refined and full of care. The location was also excellent, with lovely day trips possible to Tavira, Olhão and Faro. But even just staying on the property was a pleasure, surrounded by stillness, space and soft hills. A place we will remember for its atmosphere, sincere hospitality and understated excellence.

Cons: Nothing at all. Everything felt just right.

Wonderful hosts make this a beautiful, welcoming oasis from which to explore the Eastern Algarve

Pros: Pascale and Igor were wonderful hosts. They have renovated their historic property beautifully and with great style. My room was spacious and very comfortable (with an amazing ceiling!). Breakfasts were fantastic and featured delicious local produce. Pascale showed me the route for a beautiful two hour circular walk amongst the cork trees in a protected area starting in Barranco do Velho which I definitely recommend. I had a very relaxing stay and would definitely recommend Solar Do Bisavo. Thank you!

Pros: This is a wonderful place to stay. The owners have attended to every detail when renovating a beautiful old building. But it’s also their care and attention which makes a stay here outstanding. And of course the wonderful breakfasts on the terrace. We’ll be back .

Exceptional hospitality, a charming building, super friendly hosts and a lovely location

Pros: From our arrival up until departure we were treated like more than just guests. Pascale and Igor are super welcoming, made us feel at home and were helpful offering any kind of information or support. We were offered an upgrade to a 1st floor room overlooking the garden and sea. The building is authentic in style and fully renovated to modern today standards while assuring comfort, design and quality are optimally integrated. Lovely wooding ceilings, beautiful stone tiles, a large comfortable bed, fluffy towels and stunning views. The most delicious breakfast with fresh fruits, bread, juice, coffee served on the terrace. This place is a gem and we look forward to return.

Cons: Nothing. Well, maybe Igor's milk-foaming skills ;-) but I am sure next time we come he will deliver us some nice ' latte-art' :)) But frankly, there is nothing we could point out that could have been better. We just wished we could have stayed longer.

An outstanding property well located for exploring the central part of the Algarve.

Pros: Everything - a beautiful house in an amazing location. Extremely comfortable rooms with very well appointed bathrooms. Igor and Pascale were amazing hosts who provided delicious breakfasts and very helpful information on things to do nearby. We have visited the Algarve many times and this is by far the best place we have stayed in - we will return.

A sanctuary run by consummate hosts.

Pros: Pascale and Igor make delicious, substantial and healthy breakfasts using local ingredients, including some grown on the estate. Breads, pastries, freshly squeezed juice, eggs, fruity salads with excellent flavour combinations. A great way to start the day!
