AL - Quarteira Terrace Penthouse

Great apartment and stay. The rental company need to sort their automatic email settings out though!

Pros: Loved the terrace, you could hear the sea from the terrace which is always relaxing. The apartment beds were comfy and got a good night sleep.

Cons: I felt the rental company contacting me too many times during my stay about check out. I seem to get multiple emails telling me about check out each day which got really annoying. Also I did not see but you need to put a 400 euro deposit down for the rental. It does say this in the description but I am not sure it is clearly shown. Fortunately I had 400 spare in my account, and brought that card along with me, but if some one did not then it could be an issue when trying to collect the keys.

Pros: This apartment was spotlessly clean, beautifully equipped and very well located near the fish and vegetable markets and across the road from the beach. There is no need to have a car - everything is within easy walking distance. Any requests were kindly responded to by Joana - we had plenty of extra fresh towels and bed linen which was of high quality. Also Joana responded immediately and communication was quick and courteous. The veranda is very large with plenty of outdoor furniture and cushions. The washing machine is useful for longer stays and there is a good Lavandaria across the road where clothes can be dried in the tumble dryer at low cost. The local people were very friendly and helpful with suggestions and giving us local information. There is a fantastic museum beside the fish market with very informative staff and well worth a visit.

Cons: We had a great time in this apartment and enjoyed Quarteira very much walking along the sea front - it’s a beautiful seaside location and has lovely fish restaurants and great bakeries to enjoy morning coffee. The apartment is just around the corner from the beachfront. The veranda overlooks the street and has partial view of the sea and beach. It does not have a view of the sea to the front but overlooks the side street. Overall this did not impact the enjoyment of the apartment and wonderful location.

Cons: Tudo estava bom, nada que desabone o imóvel, um tapetinho na entrada seria bem útil!
