Authentic

Pros: Beautiful decor, pretty garden. We had the top floor apartment with private terrace. The sunsets were magical. Breakfast served daily at your preferred time and varies daily with delicious home made items. The pool area is very relaxing. And there are multiple seating areas around the house! It is a bit remote - car needed & uber available!

Cons: The mattress cover did not fit on the mattress and pillows were uncomfortable.

Little Paradise

Pros: It was phantastic! We were very lucky to have chosen this gem of an accommodation for the first days of our vacation. Casa Estrela is a very special place, we enjoyed the calm and relaxing atmosphere, the nice garden and pool. The room is spacious, comfortable and lovely decorated, the view superb. The breakfast was excellent, lovingly prepared with lots of tasty options, e.g., homemade marmalade which can be bought as well (we recommend the orange marmalade). Breakfast is served on your private terrasse, what a luxury! Valérie is a very nice and charming host. Unfortunately, my French vocabulary is limited, so we had to use the translator App to communicate. We hope to have the opportunity to return! Merci beaucoup, Valérie!

Cons: The stairs to the room are very steep and without a handrail. You have to be careful when carrying your luggage.

A relaxing and comfortable setting.

Pros: Rustic Villa set in the hills. Cosy room with lots of facilities. Warm and welcoming host. Excellent breakfast. Slept well.

Cons: The steps to the room were steep and needed care when carrying suitcases.

Like stepping into Botticelli's la prima vera

Pros: L' entourage, awareness of the environment the friendly host , the room, comfortable big bed, the way everything was decorated, the coloured glass window the swimming pool, the garden, le petit dejeuner Français,the quiet serene nature, the curiousity of the cats.

Cons: With a car it's simply perfect . O Without a car the supermarkt is more than an hour walking though uber is cheap.

A lovely place to relax

Pros: Everything was just perfect-we had a lovely stay in this calm and relaxing place. We enjoyed delicious breakfast with the most magnificent view, room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Valérie gave us some good recommendations of restaurants and beaches in the area.

Pros: Super friendly host and breakfast was amazing and freshly prepared!

Blissful

Pros: Exceptional accommodation. The tranquility, the pool and the large private south-east facing terrace make this a really special place to stay. The breakfast is also magnificent. There are cute kittens that may invade your bedroom if you let them. Gollum is the cutest. Brilliant coffee machine in the room too, and a good opportunity to practise your French.

We would return to Casa Estrela in a heartbeat.

Pros: Valerie was an exceptional host. She was kind, generous, prompt and always at hand to help. Her place was beautiful and the facilities more than adequate. Breakfast was simple but always with a little treat. You could feel that she really made the effort all the time.

Cons: Nothing.

It was a relief for us to start our holiday in Portugal in your beautiful Casa Estrela. What a pearl of beauty, peace and comfort is spot and accommodation you have Valerie. The beautiful panoramic view of the lush greenery that we enjoyed intensely every day from the wonderful terrace of our stylishly decorated room that was equipped with all the luxury we needed. Fijne warme plek waar we ons te gast voelden

Pros: Leuk plek met mooi uitzicht en gezellige inrichting. Lieve gastvrouw die fantastisch ontbijt maakt.

Cons: Enige jammere is het matras, dat vonden we echt veel te zacht. Wij houden van een lekker hard matras waar je fris van opstaat.
