We had a fantastic few days and we will definitely come back

Pros: The apartment had everything needed for our stay, it was clean, spacious, beautiful large terrace with eating area and sun loungers, we found the most beautiful beach 5 minute walk from apartment

Cons: Nothing, we loved everything, it had air conditioning and WiFi, washing machine and dishwasher

Pros: Lovely apartment, very spacious and comfortable. Brilliant location within walking distance to beach, shop and nice restaurants.

Cons: When it rained the inside atrium can get slippy. The front door was wire stiff to close but these are only minor things. Overall we loved our stay here.

Clean hotel in a great location.

Pros: The view of the sea and location to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets.

Cons: An updated television with apps - YouTube etc.

Lovely and we would go again.

Pros: The apartment was clean, comfy and right next to a fantastic supermarket which served excellent bread, deli and takeaway food. The pool was clean and nice. It was just 10 minute walk to the beach.

Cons: This was a good value apartment: don't expect plush or luxury facilities. But it was clean and we had what we needed.

Pros: I stayed in a lovely one bed superior apartment. The standard was excellent. The apartment was very clean & comfortable with great facilities. The room had a pool & sea view which was really lovely. Good value for money. I really enjoyed my stay there & spoke with the host, Antoinete personally, she was a lovely, friendly & caring person. She allowed me to stay in the apartment for a further few hours. I will be arranging another holiday sometime in August & intend to stay in the same apartment or a similar superior apartment. Thankyou Antoinete🙂

Relaxing break at Palmeira Gale

Pros: Lovely apartment very clean with a balcony overlooking the pool. Exceptional host ( Antonieta) nothing was too much trouble for her. She was very responsive to texts and dealt with any problems immediately. She even offered to drive me to the airport when I couldn't book a taxi 😊

Cons: Reception was closed ( presuming as it was April and end of season) the pool was advertised as open all year, but it wasn't cleaned all week which put me off swimming in there.

We had a great holiday inspite the lack of any help or advice. For a while were completely left i the dark!!!

Pros: Lovely big apartment, had everything we needed for a self catering holiday. Huge balcony with dining table and chairs plus 2 lovely wicker loungers. Quiet area so you will need a car or taxis. Lovely pool area, plenty sun beds in a very hot October. 29 degrees most days except when it was 31 degrees.

Cons: No one to welcome us in, ir ask any questions, no cleaners, i changed our bed with sheets left for a sofa bed. I washed the sheets and towels in the washing machine. I had a few questions re accessing the pool from our block, i got No reply. We asked for the WIFI code- got no reply. We the decided to phone the request to stay in the apartment later as we have a late flight home. I had been told thats no problem and after I paid we can organise that. I had already paid €595 in advance. Only to be told we have to get out at 10am. It was day 4 of our holiday before another guest told us there was a side gate beside our (D block) to access the pool so we don’t have to go through the main entrance and walk down a circular flight of stairs to access the pool on crutches with a leg brace after full hip & pelvis reconstruction. What a nightmare we had. We were given the code to unlock the gate by another guest. I had some important work to do while away and chose this accommodation specifically as it had very good free WIFI. We booked in for 9 days and I only rec the code the last 3 days. There are codes for the front door and another code to retrieve the door key from key box outside the front door. Only a few days before the holiday i was asked for €100 deposit to be paid directly to the property. I questioned it but was told i would not receive the property instructions and not be let in if it was not paid. I paid but never received the codes and instructions as promised. They kept asking for €100 deposit saying they had not rec it. I told them i had paid and had a receipt. They said i will still have to pay or else no entry. I was at the airport at this stage and completely stressed as my husband is disabled and we were arriving at midnight. No way could he be messed around. After an hour or so without me paying again they said sorry and sent the door code.

It was a great rest time in portugal. we had everything we needed

Pros: The apartment was simply nicely decorated, cozy, the kitchen was very well equipped

Very clean, well appointed apartment in an excellent location

Pros: Very spacious apartment with plenty of bedding and equipment, crockery and cutlery in the kitchen (though only 3 very small teaspoons. More like ones you would use for boiled eggs). Apartment complex was quiet & very clean. The pool was lovely with plenty of loungers for the time we were there (end of May). The Apolónia supermarket was just around the corner with a superb café attached for a lovely coffee, breakfast or snack if you were too lazy to cook. There is an Aldi & another cheaper supermarket just a short taxi ride away. Galé beach was just a 5 minute walk away and there were a few good restaurants & cafés right beside it The Wifi was very good (for our needs anyway. Did not need to access any streaming services) & the TV was a Smart TV so I assume you could access any streaming service you want and there were a few English speaking channels available, which adequately covered our needs for the brief time we used it.

Cons: Upon arrival to the Palmeira we could not get in to the building as the code provided in our confirmation email didn't work. Luckily another guest was exiting at the same time so we were able to get in. When we contacted Antonieta, the code she gave us was completely different, but she did get back to us very promptly. Also the code for the pool access gate is completely different to the one given in the confirmation email. Again, Antonieta was quick to get back to us with the correct code but they need to sort this out Numbering of the floors is a bit confusing, as entry is on floor -1 and we were staying on 00 which was actually 1 floor up. To us here in Ireland this would be, entry on Ground floor 0, next floor up 1st floor or 1. It took us a while to figure this out and we spent a futile 15/20 minutes trying to get in to the wrong apartment. There were only 2 electrical sockets in the bedroom. Of which, 1 was being used by the air-conditioning. The other was on the wall opposite to the bed so we couldn't plug in the bed side light provided. When the overhead light was turned off we had to use torches to find the bed. Our 2nd last day there I did find a short extension lead in a drawer in the hallway dresser but this still didn't reach the bedside locker so wasn't of any use. Information on Booking.com website & our confirmation email mentions a pool bar. We could not see any pool bar, though there were workmen around and it looked like they may have been working on one.
