Couples retreat

Pros: Location is perfect, less than 10mins walk to Fisherman's Beach & The Strip. Walk along Old Town to the Marina about 20mins. Hotel staff are very accommodating. The appartment itself is hugh, we booked a frontal view ( definitely worth it) the views are fabulous of boats coming/ going from the marina.

Cons: The appartments need a good paint job all over, especially the bathroom , they are very dated looking with shower curtains that need to be discarded ages ago .

Pros: 1. Location 2. Staff were great and really friendly 3. Clean 4. Pool area was lovely 5. Room was huge and balconies were amazing

Cons: 1. If there were loud neighbours, the sound would carry, this is the general rule of thumb for every hotel though, with the drying room near the hallways, it just felt louder. But it was mostly young people just having a good time, nothing serious.

Very enjoyable stay at Almar Hotel apartments..

Pros: The reception staff and manager were all extremely helpful and always had a welcoming smile day and night. Room maids popped in every day to clean the apartment with fresh sheets and towels. Convenient reasonably peaceful location and yet only 10 minutes stroll downhill to Old Town. Some superb local restaurants and bars within 5 minutes walk. Taxi back to apartments was great value at only 3.25 Euros from Old Town. Good size pool with ample seating and sun loungers. Reception arranged our transport back to Faro airport. Appartment was a good size and clean but could do with a little freshen-up or modernising. Good balcony and great views over the pool and out to sea. Would stay here again.

Cons: Only minor disappointment was no bar open during our stay but really not an issue at all, due to the huge selection of local bars and restaurants just a few minutes away.

Good budget hotel in a great location. Restaurants, supermarket and cafes 2 mins walk.

Pros: Location was good, about a 15 min walk to old town. Apartment was spacious and view gorgeous. Staff were super helpful and Friendly.

Cons: A laundry room without a washer seemed a little useless.

Pros: The rooms were clean and comfortable. The view was beautiful and just a short walk into the town but still very quiet. The accommodation was just what we wanted.

Cons: Would have liked the pool bar to have been open more. It was closed some days but that is the only complaint.

Great location and sea views

Pros: Good location and we loved the sea view from our apartment. However expensive without breakfast included.

Cons: Our 1 bedroom apartment was suitable for 2 people and we booked for 4 adults. Living room sofas were not fold out beds.

Pros: very nice people working here comfortable sleep and silence large clean pool with snack bar beach few minutes away nice ocean and pool view

Cons: a little bit outdated equipment, but it didnt vause unconvience

Enjoyed stay , good location

Pros: The hotels location was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The apartment was spacious, had all facilities you could need, the beds were comfortable and Aircon was very good.

Cons: The bathrooms in the apartments were dated and could do with an upgrade. The pool facilities were nice, great view but the loungers were dated and in need of replacement. Also, the baby pool section is very exposed to the sun and could be improved if it was covered.

Pros: hotel located 10 minutes from the beach and restaurants. pool was clean and well maintained. no rush for sunbeds.

Cons: the pool bar or snack bar could have been open.

A lovely hotel, great location but still quiet and relaxing during the day by the pool!
